Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma

Abstract
Two cases of alveolar soft part sarcoma are repo2rted in view of rarity in its kind and difficulties of accurate diagnosis. We have recently experienced two cases of alveolar soft part sarcoma. The first case was 41 year old male who has complained of egg sized masses on anterior chest wall and about 4 years ago patient had removed a mass in the pectoral muscle. About one month ago the masses recurred at same site. At the time of surgery, two masses measuring 4 x 3 x 2cm and 2 x 1 x 1cm were found in pectoral muscle. The second case was 34 year old male who has complained of multiple masses on the abdominal, and chest wall, and the back, and had removed a mass at right lumbar region about 3 years ago. During the 2 months before admission, the masses recurred one after another. At the surgery, the size of the masses varied from large pea to large walnut size (3 in total ). The pathologic appearance of both cases were identical grossly and microscopically to that of alveolar soft part sarcoma described by Christopherson etal. in 1952.
